Barton Landscape Services uses Hardwood Shredded Bark mulch exclusively. Hardwood Shredded bark mulch is an excellent for your gardens. It is a lightweight material that is easy to handle and provides year-round benefits to all types of plantings. It provides moisture conservation, temperature moderation, erosion abatement, and weed control. In addition, as the material naturally decomposes, it provides valuable nutrients to surrounding plants. The bark primarily comes from native Red and White Oak and has minimal wood fiber content.

MULCHING OF BEDS

In either the months of March or April all currently mulched beds will be re-defined and cleaned up of all debris left over from the winter prior to mulching. Barton Landscape Services will apply one application of pre-emergence weed control over the newly cleaned up garden beds. Barton Landscape Services will spread new Hardwood Shredded Bark mulch to a depth of two (2”) inches deep above the existing grade. All mulch will be evenly spread.
